There is no school on Monday, May 26, 2008.

We are having our end of the year pizza party on Tuesday, May 27th around 2:00. Students are to bring in a drink:)

The awards assembly is on Thursday, May 29th at 9:30. The talent show will begin around 12:30.

The last day of school is Friday, May 30th.

I cannot express what a wonderful year this has been!! I am going to miss everyone so very much!! I want to thank all the parents and students for making this a successful school year! Best of luck in years to come!!!!! Have a safe and wonderful summer!!

We are done with the reading series!! There will be no more spelling words or reading tests☺

We will finish up chapter eight in social studies. The test will be on Thursday.

Monday, May 19th is the Fourth Grade Picnic.

Thanks to everyone who has been able to send in donations for our spa basket!! The carnival is on Friday, May 16th. I hope to see you all there!! A big thank you to everyone who has assisted with making the carnival possible!!!!!!

Thursday, May 15, 2008 is Field Day. We would like to thank Mr. Cummings for always doing a wonderful job!!!

The fourth grade picnic is on Monday, May 19th. This is always so much fun!!!

The students are almost done with their reports☺ They were able to design a lesson on anything they wanted and present it to the class!! I cannot wait until they do☺ They are doing a wonderful job!!!!

Spelling Words: autumn, design, hymn, resign, knead, isle, weight, prompt, receipt, rhombus, fascinate, judgment, scent, light, sketch

Vocabulary Words: ash, awestruck, cinders, debris, erupt, react, ridge

Reading- We are finishing up our reading series this week!! The class will be reading, Lost on a Mountain in Maine. The test will be on Friday.

Grammar- The class will review adverbs and prepositional phrases.

Writing- The students will be writing a response to the story.

Spelling- The test will be on Friday.

Math- We will be learning about positive and negative numbers, volume, cups, pints, gallons, and quarts.

Social Studies- The students will be learning about how Ohio became a state. Our focus is chapter eight.

Science- The students are leaning about weather.
