May Newsletter

We want to extend our congratulations to Karen Osborne, our fourth teacher, for being named Little Miami's Excellent Teacher of the Year! We are very proud of her and greatly appreciate all she does for our students.

The week of May 5th - May 9th has been designated as National Teacher Recognition Week, with Friday, May 9th being National Teacher Recognition Day. This time is set aside in order to provide students, parents, administrators, and community families the opportunity to express their gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and dedication expressed by our teachers. I hope you will make this a very special week for all Butlerville teachers.

A big thank you to Debbie Higginbothan who has compiled and edited our yearbook this year. She is to be complimented for the time and effort she invested in putting together a publication that provides our students with wonderful memories for many years to come.

On behalf of the entire staff of Butlerville Elementary School, best wishes are extended to you and your families for a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer vacation. Your support of our efforts has been very much appreciated, and has enabled our students to excel and grow academically as the year has progressed.

Congratulations are extended to our fourth graders as they leave Butlerville and prepare to enter the Intermediate School. Their many contributions to the school will be missed, and we wish them well as they move on.

In order to assist you in planning for the next school year, a copy of the district≠s calendar has been included in this month's newsletter. Should you have any questions or concerns relative to the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year, please note that the school office will remain open until Friday, June 27th, and will reopen on Friday, August 1st.
