Dear Parents,

The staff of Butlerville Elementary School and I welcome you and your children to the 2008-09 school year. We have opened the year with 217 students.

We are pleased to welcome several new staff members to Butlerville. Meggan Davis will be teaching first grade, and Vicki Dinsmore will be our speech therapist.

Pertinent information regarding our school, your student's classroom, our monthly newsletter, handbook, school supply list, and events calendar may be accessed at our web site, butlerville.net. A monthly calendar of our events will be sent home to each family. Subsequent copies of the newsletter will only be sent to families who do not have computer access. By going to your child's classroom site, you will be able to find homework assignments, spelling words, and classroom updates. Should you not receive a response to an e-mail within two days, please call the school or send a written note, as we do experience difficulties with our provider from time to time.

Congratulations are in order to our hard working staff and students. Butlerville earned a rating of "Excellent" on our state report card!

As the year progresses, please feel free to visit the school or contact the office at 899-5200, should you have questions or concerns. Together, we can create a clean, safe, nurturing learning environment for our students.
